What is Ultrasonic Cleaning

Many people haven’t heard of ultrasonic cleaning and are surprised to find out that it’s actually been around for quite some time.  Industry’s began using ultrasonic cleaning in the 50’s, but still today, so many who could benefit greatly from this technology are not taking advantage of it.

An ultrasonic cleaner is a device that uses ultrasound and either water or an appropriate solvent to clean different types of hard objects.  It normally takes about 3 minutes to clean an object.  Many different industries benefit from these devices.  The skies the limit when it comes to what can be cleaned–anything from surgical equipment to firearms.  Check out our motorsports page to see why the racing industry loves our Ultrasonic Cleaners.

Using cavitation bubbles that are created by high frequency sound, these cleaning machines agitate the liquid and the agitation produces a force so strong that it is able to completely remove  contaminates from the solid object.  Most hard, non-absorbent materials are a good fit for ultrasonic cleaning.
